Follow it on Twitter starting around 10:30 a.m. The meeting is at the A.T. Johnson Human Services Building in Montross for those that are curious.
Hopefully no one there throws a punch (or takes a shot) at me.
UPDATE: For those that weren’t following my updates on Twitter, Catherine Crabill secured the Republican nomination today. I’ll be writing up a post with some thoughts later.
Too bad about the results. We’ve lost that race.
I hope you tell us what kind of arguments the speakers made for and against Crabill.
I’ve got video of some of the speakers; it’s not great quality (Sony Handycam with no tripod) and I couldn’t get all of speakers because I was running out of tape and I didn’t think to bring more than one tape(!).
The arguments of the people speaking for her were pretty much this: She’s a Christian and she’s not a moderate. Seriously, that’s pretty much what all of them said. Oh yeah, she’s suspicious of the government just like Thomas Jefferson. I think I heard Jefferson roll over in his grave when the guy said that.
The people speaking against her stated she could hurt the rest of the Republican ticket and the media would be out to get them. But none of the speakers had the courage to go up there and actually quote what she had said. Grr…
